Cookie policy

This page is a translation provided for information only. The Spanish version is the one that prevails.

This website sets no cookies and stores nothing in its visitors’ browsers.

YouTube’s cookies

A cookie is a piece of data that a website leaves in the browser in order to recognise it later. The only ones that can reach the browser when this site is used are YouTube’s, and only through the live stream on the home page. Before the visitor presses “Watch the live stream”, nothing is loaded from YouTube. Pressing loads the YouTube player, which sets its cookies and stores data in the browser in accordance with its own policy: the Google Privacy Policy and its explanation of how Google uses cookies. Anyone who uses the player also agrees to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service.

What data YouTube receives when the button is pressed is explained in this site’s privacy policy.

The player is loaded in YouTube’s privacy-enhanced mode, which prevents what is watched on this site from being used to personalise what YouTube shows the visitor. Even in that mode, YouTube’s cookies arrive when the button is pressed.

In the check carried out on 4 October 2026, YouTube set five cookies, all of them its own. According to Google, YSC is used for security; __Secure-ROLLOUT_TOKEN, to roll out new features; and __Secure-YNID and VISITOR_INFO1_LIVE, to remember preferences and for its statistics, recommendations and advertising. Google does not explain VISITOR_PRIVACY_METADATA. In that check, YSC lasted for the browser session, and the other four for six months. YouTube chooses them and may change them. They are these:

  • VISITOR_INFO1_LIVE
  • VISITOR_PRIVACY_METADATA
  • YSC
  • __Secure-ROLLOUT_TOKEN
  • __Secure-YNID

Measuring visits

The site measures its visits with Umami, which uses no cookies and stores nothing in the browser. The privacy policy explains it.

Why there is no cookie banner

The site shows no cookie banner because it sets no cookies. YouTube’s cookies only arrive if the visitor presses “Watch the live stream”, and a sentence next to the button says so beforehand. Pressing is the way to accept them.

The site does not remember that the button was pressed: every time the home page is opened, the player waits for the button again. Anyone who does not want those cookies can simply leave the button unpressed: the rest of the site works just the same. Cookies already in the browser can be deleted from its settings, which also allow them to be blocked.

If this changes

If the site ever uses anything that stores data in the browser, this page will say so, and the visitor’s consent will be asked for beforehand where required.
